The founder of Military Muscle is a competitive rugby player, a tactical fitness professional, and a lifelong health enthusiast.

Founder/Owner

Ben holds a Bachelor’s Degree and a Postgraduate qualification in Sport & Exercise Nutrition from the Carnegie School of Sport at Leeds Beckett University—an institution accredited by the Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENR).

In addition to his academic credentials, Ben is a tactical strength and conditioning specialist with an extensive background in military physical training.

To maintain strong, cutting-edge links between the research sector and real-world applications, Ben actively collaborates on studies within the higher education field. Recently, this included vital research examining the physiological and metabolic responses to heavy load carriage and elite performance.

Research & Editorial Team

Bradley — Researcher & Writer Bradley joined the team in 2021, bringing a strong foundation in sports science and hands-on fitness expertise. He is a university graduate holding a BA (Hons) from Leeds Beckett University, a BTEC in Sports Science (awarded with Distinction), and Level 2 & 3 Personal Training qualifications. Outside his research, Bradley is an avid climber and serves as treasurer of the Leeds Beckett University Climbing Society.

Oliver — Researcher & Writer Oliver joined the team in the summer of 2021 after graduating from the prestigious Carnegie School of Sport at Leeds Beckett University. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Applied Sport and Exercise Science. Alongside his research, Oliver is actively involved in community athletics, coaching cricket and soccer.

Ashley Holland, BEng (Hons) — Semi-Professional Rugby Athlete. Ashley is an elite multi-sport athlete and a semi-professional rugby union player for the Sheffield Tigers. His dedication to high-intensity training spans multiple disciplines; he is an accomplished cricket player, has competed in Australian Rules Football for the Nottingham Scorpions, and has been selected for the British Bulldogs squad. When he isn't on the field, Ashley channels his drive into competitive powerlifting.

Our Story

Military Muscle was born out of frustration from years of trying supplements that delivered lacklustre results.

After analysing the industry, it became clear that many products on the market are simply pre-made formulas with different labels—commonly known as "private label" supplements.

In 2015, we decided it was time to get serious about testing and custom formulation. The ultimate goal was to develop a premium supplement that would benefit everyone, across all professions, sports, and athletic interests.
